A 7’-wide round bale hay feeder with skid feet, able to accommodate all types of large bales, chopped feeds, and TMR.
There’s a famous saying: “Time is money.” There’s also a kind of famous saying: “Hay is money.” Our 700 SRB round bale hay feeder can save you both.
First, the hay. Some studies show losses as high as 45% when cattle have access to all the hay they want, placed on the ground. Our round bale feeders, like the 700 SRB, are designed to keep bales centered in the feeder and encourage cattle to only bite off what they can chew.
Then there’s the time. You can waste a bunch of it trying to clean out the bottom of a feeder obstructed with steel bars. That’s where features like the optional EZ Clean-Out racks set our round bale feeders apart. The EZ Clean-Out racks flip out of the way for cleaning, keeping the whole process to less than 2 minutes. Seriously.

Standard Features
All round bale feeders manufactured by Farmco are built with 12 gauge metal troughs, high-quality welds, and strategically placed reinforcements, to ensure years of operation under tough conditions. Each piece of equipment we build is protected from the elements with a two-component polyurethane paint, applied electrostatically to ensure even coverage.
Additionally, the 700 SRB round bale hay feeder comes standard with:
A rear entry gate that flips down to allow for easy bale loading and clean out.
An inverted V divider and slanted trough sides that keeps hay scraps away from the sides and makes cleaning easy.
Skid feet for moving the feeder around the farm. While skid feet are available on all sizes, for feeders 20’ or longer we recommend an upgrade to our 700 DRB hay feeder with wheels for easier transporting.
A D-ring for towing the feeder to its next feeding location.
