For centuries now, hay wagons have been one of the most essential pieces of farm equipment. And since the advent of baling, flat-bed wagons have been the go-to for farmers around the country. The hay wagons for sale from Farmco add to that tradition, with a practical, rugged design and the standard hay wagon features we’ve all come to expect.
For starters, all of our hay wagons are built on a durable metal frame with main beams constructed from 7” steel channel. Once it’s mounted on the running gear, the hay wagon deck rides 37” above the ground, while the overall height of the hay wagon (including the sides) is 10’ 9”. Speaking of the sides, they’re made from 2” square steel tubing with 1” square horizontal bars.
Farmco hay wagons come with a flooring choice of either expanded steel or 1” oak board (spaced at 3/4”). 43” side openings with chains and “easy-open” handles allow for quick unloading. Alternately, unload via the rear gate, which swings open 270 degrees in either direction. Finally, a 32” fold-down “porch” on the front end offers an additional unloading point. Standard Features
Every hay wagon for sale from Farmco is built with heavy-gauge reinforced steel and first-rate welding. Before it ships, each wagon is weatherproofed with a two-part polyurethane paint. Paint is applied electrostatically to ensure an even finish over the entire hay wagon.
